    In New York State when a person dies their assets often go through a court proceeding called Probate (if there is a will) or Administration (if there is no will). This proceeding is conducted in the Surrogate's Court local to the county of the deceased's domicile. This proceeding allows for the appointment of either an Executor or an Administrator who becomes the court appointed fiduciary who then  conducts the estate administration. Our office represents nominated executors and other parties in the various Surrogate's Courts in New York State and we handle all aspects of wills, trusts and estates.
